Private Photo Albums and Image Hosting FAQ's

Please use these FAQ's when considering our Private Photo Album service. Members have a complete help section in the Members Only Area. If you're looking for information about your existing Private Photo Album account, please Log In to our system and click on the help menu item.

Do you have a 'Free' Private Photo Album service?
Yes we do! You can get a FREE Private Photo Album just by signing up!
What type of images does your system support?
Any Internet usuable image - .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .psd, or .psp. Many Members use our service to store their Digital Artwork and Graphic Designs. It's a great way to privately showcase your work! Graphic Artists love uploading images in the .psd and .psp formats so others can download their layered images.
Are risque' images and adult images allowed?
Yes! As this is a private service, you may upload your personal images as long as they conform with our Terms and Conditions. Many Members use our service specifically for this purpose because their images are not allowed on other image hosts, and also, they know that their most private and intimate images are securely protected with us.

In fact, many people have a desire to share their most intimate pictures, their pictures of their family or their children, and their pictures that include others, but feel insecure about uploading them to an image host where they can be seen by everyone. We realize how important your privacy is to you, and our service allows you to Password Protect your folders so that only those you wish to view your images will be able to do so.
How long are Free Account images hosted for?
Free Account images are kept as long as the Member is active. If a Free Account Member has not Logged In to our system for six months, all images are automatically removed and the account is automatically disabled.
How long are Paid Account images hosted for?
Paid Account images are kept indefinetly until a Paid Account Member either deletes the image(s), or until the Paid Account Member cancels or downgrades their account. Unlike Free Account Members, Paid Account Members are not required to Log In at least once every six months, and their images do not get automatically removed.
Are all images private?
You set what images & folders you want to be private. If you don't want a specific image folder to be private, you simply mark it as a public folder. You can then use the handy links our system provides to copy and paste the URL of the image(s) into MySpace, Forums, Groups, eBay, Ads, Emails, Web Pages, etc.

Even with public images folders, the URLs of the images are encoded so no one can find the exact location of your images on our servers!
Are my private images really secure?
Absolutely! We've run extensive tests to assure your privacy and security. Image folders marked 'Private' can only be accessed by people you send a link to and provide the proper password. Only you and those you invite may access your images, and you may change the settings and passwords any time you wish!
Do I need any special software?
All you need to use our service is a Web Browser, an Internet Connection, and Images to Upload!
Do I have to re-size my images before uploading?
No, You don't need to re-size images, our system does it for you based on your input. You may also rotate images in our system with a simple click of a button!
Can I delete images I've uploaded?
Deleting images is as simple as a click of a button. You may add images to a folder, rearrange the order the images are in, or delete images any time you wish.
Does your staff view my images?
NO! The only time any of our staff would even think of viewing your images would be in the case of a complaint from someone you have allowed access to your album.
Can I upgrade my plan once I've signed up?
Absolutely! Upgrading can be done at any time via a link within your private Members Area.
Are there any contracts or minimums?
You may purchase any of our plans for the time frame and storage space you need. If you wish to cancel, simply send us a contact form, along with your Member ID, at least 5 days before your next billing period and you will not be re-billed.
If I use your site, can I access my images via a HTTPS connection?
Yes! We purchased our own Digital Certificate to allow Secure Socket Layer Connections to our site. For 128-bit encryption, connect via https://PrivatePhotoAlbums.com
